At Starlight Pools, we design, create and install fibreglass pools with skimmer technology. When creating our pools, we have durability, high performance, and longevity in mind.
What are our pools made of ?
First Gelcoat Layer
It is an external (visible to the naked eye) layer of the pool. We offer five different colors.
Second Gelcoat Layer
Second layer of gel coat improving the basin resistance to provide our trademark quality finish.
Barrier Coat Layer
Spray barrier layer protects the pool surface against osmosis and bubbles.
Protective Layer
Vinyl ester resin layer that doubles the protection of the barrier coat layer.
Construction Layer
It consists of several (depending on the size of the pool) layers of glass mat and resin. This is the main load bearing structure designed to strengthen the entire shell.
Steel Reinforcement
Steel profiles are placed under the pool frame and on the embossing. Its task is to prevent the walls from bending and additionally strengthen the entire basin.
Reinforcement Layer
The roving fabric is an additional material strengthening the structure.
Insulation Layer
Insulation layer made out of polyurethane foam which task is to reduce heat loss and protect the pool from external damage.
Insulation Layer Pools
During the penultimate phase of construction, we incorporate an insulation layer into our pools using polyurethane material. This layer serves two important purposes: it minimises heat loss and shields the pool from any potential external damage.
Strong, Durable Materials
We use top-of-the-range materials, ensuring our products are strong and durable. Within the production process of our pools being made, steel bars and perimeter buttresses are encased within the pool shell, further maximising our pool's performance and longevity.
Seamless Finish
The material we use to create our polyester swimming pools create a seamless, smooth finish, reducing leaks or bacteria problems.
How Are Our Pools Are Made?
Step 1
The first step of production of swimming pool basin is to prepare the mould – thorough cleaning and applying separators.
Step 2
We apply a double layer of gelcoat on the prepared form to achieve smooth, long lasting surface.
Step 3
The next step is the application of vinyl-ester resin as well as strand mat and roving fabric. This is the main load bearing layer that gives the pool it’s strength and rigidity.
Step 4
The next step is the application of a polyurethane foam that provides insulation in order to minimize water temperature losses.
Step 5
The final step of production is the installation of the pool devices into the shell.
Step 6
